Dear Patrice,
A heartfelt thank you for organizing a memorable three-generation journey for us! The tour guides, drivers, and chefs were friendly, smart and personable who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our holiday. The special tour you arranged in Florence was a surprise highlight.
The villa was the perfect size for us - very clean and comfortable. It was helpful that we had someone in-country who could assist when issues came up, i.e., calling the airline to find our lost luggage.
The drive to the house was frightening, but I eventually got used to it/

Dear Livia, thanks so much for your call and email. I am so happy to know your trip to Tuscany was everything you expected and more.
yes, those country roads can be a bit harrowing the first few times and it's normal to take a few days to get used to it. It's part of the charm of living like an Italian in the countryside. Thank you again for your comments, Patrice

What a beautiful little hideaway. We loved our stay at Scrivere. Sitting at the dining table on the terrace surrounded by beautiful views will always be remembered by our group. The large panes of glass on both sides of the house were so well appreciated, with views that always reminded us we were in Tuscany. The pool Jacuzzi was nice to have after a long hot day of touring, but it is definitely NOT a lap pool, but we just wanted to unwind and relax so it was no big deal for us. The staff was so cheery and the concierge was so helpful for whatever we needed. Boris, our villa cook and his wife were wonderful! We went to the market and returned home to a cooking class that was so much fun and delicious as well. It was nice to come home to air conditioning during the heat wave we experienced. Thank you for all your advice and assistance - it really made for a flawless holiday. We are already planning our next trip!

A charming home in the Tuscan countryside far way from any town. The closest charming if somewhat sleepy town is Montaione where you can find a fun Friday market and some good, if not great, restaurants.
If you want condiments be sure to bring with as there is nothing in the way of salt and pepper or oil and vinegar when you arrive. Also trash bags as there is no trash can in the kitchen.
The living area was smaller than expected with not enough comfortable seating for six people.
Don?t expect to swim in the swimming pool as it is broken up with seating areas. Otherwise the property was clean and comfortable with nice views of the countryside.
Note from Papavero Villa Rentals: Thanks Mary for your feedback, we really appreciate it. We've listened to your comments and we now have a welcome basket with some essentials when you arrive that includes pasta and sauces as well as come other condiments. I'm sorry you didn't use our villa guide which listed some of our favorite restaurants in the area, especially il Cammineto outside of Montaione which is really special, as well as Il Giligi. Montaione is convenient for coffee bars, gelato, and two banks.
