This stunning contemporary villa is located in the beautiful Chianti countryside, halfway between Florence and Siena and just twelve miles from San Gimignano. This magnificent house is completely private; the layout of this one story villa was carefully designed to give you complete privacy as it wraps itself around a large courtyard with a 10 x 5 meter pool with a large circular Jacuzzi. The lawns are spacious, with olive trees and rows of lavender. All on one floor, Scrivere, newly renovated for 2008, has a lovely contemporary interior. No one does contemporary quite as well as the Italians! Dark wooden floors, glass and wood prevail, mixed with stone wall interior features. Large, full wall sized windows are in each room of the house facing the courtyard which the architect purposely included to give the villa a natural luminous glow with a light and airy feeling. In the bedrooms, the headboards are hand painted in verses of Boccaccio's De Cameron .
The color scheme of dark grey, cream, red and aviator blue contributes to the tranquility and peace of this property.

ACCOMMODATIONS
The layout of this villa is all on one floor and full of natural light from large picture windows on both sides of the house
The large and spacious living/dining room with working fireplace is the focal point of the villa. Large glass sliding entrance doors face the east and west leading out to the large swimming pool with a unique circular Jacuzzi swimming pool and covered loggia set among a large inner courtyard and garden. Silver and cream are the predominant color schemes in the kitchen with stainless steel professional appliances. A dark wood dining table with a contemporary twist of stainless steel legs and dark leather high backed chairs lend a modern flair to the rustic Tuscan theme. Double red lampshades offer an interesting blend to the merging of antique and modern.
The southern side of the villa has a master king size bedroom with an open fireplace. Glass sliding doors on both sides of the bedroom lead onto the porticato and garden on one side and a private courtyard and pool on the other side. Along a small private hallway is a bathroom with shower and a door that leads out to the dining terrace.
A hallway from the living room leads to another wing of the house that has two bedrooms. Both bedrooms face east. There is a king size bedroom and next to it, off the hallway is a bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be joined if requested and an en suite bathroom with shower. Sliding glass doors lead out to the portico and garden.
It was important for the architect to achieve an outdoor feeling while in the house and he expanded the living space outside and the large spacious terraces and sprawling lawns with lavender and olive trees are the perfect backdrop to the unique swimming pool and Jacuzzi. A very relaxing and private home is the result of his vision.
