We made it!
The property is absolutely beautiful.
We have already hit San Gimignano, Siena, Volterra, Poggibonsi, Florence and we are going to Greve in Chianti today and Pisa / Viareggio tomorrow Sunday, will then go to Assisi / Perugia / Gubbio for one day trip and then Valerie and I will go visit friends in Liguria for another day trip on Wednesday in Recco, where I lived during medical school, near Camogli, Portofino, Santa Margarita Ligure, Rapallo.......
The villa and amenities are all incredible, everyone is very impressed with the place and service.
We started with cool weather the day we arrived and it has started to get warmer each day.
We have had 7 days of sun, with only a few brief showers in Florence the other day. Today is once again beautiful blue skies, sun and nice warm weather.
The owners are very nice people. We will have our family celebration dinner tonight at the villa and so far, based on the weather this morning, we should have good weather and clear skies. Hopefully we can eat outside on the patio, since it has been warm during the days and much cooler at night for sleeping, which is fine for me. The views from the villa and the infinity pool are incredible. Standing in the cool water of the pool and looking out at the edge of the infinity pool is a very unique view of Tuscany, with the rolling hills, farm land and italian cypresses off in the distance. So far, everyone is very impressed with the villa, the amenities and the level of service. The villa has something for everyone, from the oldest person who is 75, to the grandkids who are 8 and 5.
We cannot believe how quickly time is flying here, but it always seems to do so when we are on vacation, whereas work days usually go very ssssllllllloooowwwwwww, but that is the nature of vacation, now isn't it?
Thanks for your recommendation about this villa, it was spot on based on our needs for the number of people, the amenities and the location.
I will keep you informed how the rest of the vacation goes.

We were over-the-top pleased with the house. Sabrina is a great chef anf we enjoyed the meal she prepared. I loved that Marco and Cecelia knew the area so well. They gave us great recommendations for everything and they both spoke English well which was so nigh for us.
We enjoyed the beautiful views and the close proximity to key towns as well.
Can't wait to go back!

Villa Isidoro is very conveniently situated 45 to 60 minutes from Florence, Siena and Pisa. Close to a number of beautiful hill towns including San Giminano, Voltera and Monteriggioni. Colle Val d?Elsa is within 10 minutes for groceries etc. There are many excellent restaurants within a 15 minute drive.
The villa is wonderfully situated about 300 metres from a minor road, secluded and completely private, with peaceful views over farm land and forest. Very tranquil setting: bird song is all you will hear.
It is brand new (2010), but built in the traditional style with great attention to setting and detail. The landscaping is excellent, there is a beautiful infinity edged pool immediately adjacent to the house and a huge covered porch with large dining table and deck furniture.
Inside, the layout is spacious with very high quality furniture and finishes, expansive bedrooms and luxurious bathrooms. Great comfortable living/family room, a huge eat-in fully equipped kitchen with very high quality appliances.
The owners were extremely kind and helpful with suggestions for restaurants, sights, trips and restaurants and indeed overall, the villa and the experience so much reflect their great skill, care and attention.
We?ve been fortunate to stay in a number of excellent properties in Italy, France, Anguilla, Turks and Caicos and Hawaii: Villa Isidoro is easily one of the best.
