Villa Isidoro is the perfect Tuscan farmhouse experience while not compromising on luxury. Understated elegance offers you a country style home in ultimate comfort. Ideally located within twelve miles of San Gimignano and Colle val d'Esa, you are within 30 minutes to Siena, 45 minutes to Florence, Volterra is 20 minutes and Pisa 1 hour 30 minutes. Nearby are many charming hill towns and vineyards of Chianti, including Tuscany's sandy beaches.
Tranquil and peaceful, this villa is surrounded by one of the oldest forests in the area that has remained unchanged throughout the centuries. Set out on a morning hike or take one of the mountain bikes at the villa on the one of many different trails for all levels.
Just a few short miles from the villa is a small hill town, off the beaten path unknown to most tourists. Here you can soak up the local flavor and if you happen to be there in the second Sunday in July, get caught up in the excitement of their own Palio. Other nearby villages include Monteriggioni which still stands as it did when Dante visited it. He loved this village so much he wrote it into his Divine Comedy. Within twenty minutes you can be in the original Etruscan city of Volterra. It was also important in the Roman and medieval periods of Tuscany's history and now known the world over for its alabaster stone carvings. For children, a visit to San Galgano is a must. Here you can discover the ruins of the old Cistercian Abbey that is reminiscent of Excalibur and during the summer months is a grand backdrop to the many outdoor concerts held here.
The house has been meticulously restored taking great care in keeping one with nature. It is one of the first 100% eco-friendly homes, producing its own electricity in harmony with the environment. The solar water heating system produces hot water all year round. The houses (the Villa and the Cottage) are heated and cooled by a geothermal system that maintains a constant temperature which combined with a radiant system under the floors provides a "cellar effect" temperature in summer with less humidity in the air (thanks to dehumidifiers) and regular heating in winter. Thermostats in each room can customize the temperature with a few hours response time (depending on the outside temperature).

ACCOMMODATIONS
MAIN VILLA (3,850 square feet, Sleeps 11)
GROUND FLOOR
From the main road, a 400 meter white road will take you to the villa's impressive gate. Ample parking just steps from teh villa, while garage houses the complimentary bicycles and wood. From the garage, an exterior staircase leads to the pergola where you can eat al fresco at the dining table that seats 12 guests comfortably.
A professional stainless steel kitchen with a large island for everyone to get involved in preparing a perfect Tuscan dinner, or getting involved in a cooking class. The large picture framed window over the sink makes any clean up chore easy to bear. The spacious living room with soft terracotta flooring and a large rug has plush upholstered white sofas centered around an antique fireplace. This room is full of light, thanks to two large three-paneled glass doors that lead out to the ceiling and high vaulted terracotta ceilings. From the living room, a hallway leads you to the hall bathroom with shower. On your left is a king bedroom with an independent entrance to the gardens. Further down the hallway on your right is a cozy single bedroom with a loft single bed. Both these bedrooms share the hall bathroom.
FIRST FLOOR
A beautiful stone and wrought iron staircase in the living room leads up to four en suite bedrooms.
At the top of the staircase, the hall way leads to the master bedroom on your right, This room is a large suite, with king size poster bed, a decorative stone fireplace and an en suite bathroom with tub and walk in shower and a large walk-in closet. This room has a door leading out to your own private loggia with small table and chairs and an external staircase leading to the gardens. At the top of the landing is a spacious double bedroom with king sized poster bed and an en suite bathroom with shower.
To the left of the landing you have the other double bedrooms: on has a king size bed with en suite bath with shower and the other bedroom has 2 twin beds that can be joined together on request. This room has an en-suite bathroom with shower.
THE COTTAGE (880 Square feet, Sleeps 2 + 2 )
From the living room, cross the terrace and 6 steps will take you down to The Cottage. What was once a little sheep barn has now been restored to a charming 2 story studio with king size loft bedroom.
GROUND FLOOR
Enter into the open living room with dining area. A large glass door looks out onto the sprawling lawns and nearby woods. From the dining area, you walk through a threshold into the spacious white cupboard kitchen with wood beam ceilings and professional cook top and oven. A bathroom with shower completes this floor.
FIRST FLOOR
A staircase takes you up to the bedroom which is over the living room and dining area. There are two windows in the bedroom bringing in some natural light. The full bathroom has a shower and small closet
GARDENS
From the living room, two large three-panel glass doors open out to the terrace that is almost the same size as the villa. This terrace has a pergola and beautiful wrought iron table and chairs that can easily accommodate 12 guests for alfresco dining. A stone wood burning BBQ and a wood burning pizza oven are adjacent to the terrace. Just across the lawn from the villa and cottage is the spacious pool area with an infinity pool surrounded on three sides by brown stone terraces. It is fenced in adding to the comfort of those with small children. Your senses will come alive while you sit pool side at dining tables or chaise lounges and admire the beautiful and panoramic Tuscan views among the scent of lavender, rosemary, thyme, roses and other perennials that surround the terraces bushes. Another view in peace and tranquility can be experienced from the pretty gazebo furnished with comfortable chairs and sitting with a stone patio set among the olive groves that surround the villa.

Heating and cooling of the house by a geothermal energy providing cooling and heating of floors keeping the house at a comfortable that maintains a constant temperature, keeping it at a comfortable temperature all year long and eliminating the need for air conditioning and heating. This cooling system is not a typical A/C. Thermostats can be regulated in each room but room temperatures will need some time to adjust to the request.
