San Martino apartment is located on a small quiet street with ancient stone pavers and medieval brick houses one after the other. This building was originally the palace of one of Lucca's most important family involved in the silk trade in the 1400's. The location can't be beat, in the center of the city yet on a quiet pedestrian street. The neighborhood holds many very good pizzerias and is an easy stroll to the grocery store, bakery, pastry shop and a very good cafe for breakfast each morning. Everything is just a few steps away, as well as teh weekly market and the entrance to the promenade on the top of the city's walls.

The living room ceilings still have the original painted decorations from the 1700's.
