Atrani is a delightful tiny sea village , situated between the sea and the high cliffs of the Civita and Aureo hills. It covers a territory of only 1 square km and is considered the smallest municipality in Europe.
The charm of this town is still that it is the only one on the coast that has kept its Medieval archtecture - and it is very well kept: narrow alleyways with vaults and arches, the typical scalinatelle ( small staircases) leading to tiny piazzas. The central piazza is surround with cafes, restaurants and children playing. The small beach is surrounded by white houses, many of them are owned and lived in by the 913 inhabitants. It is not as well known as the other fishing villages, such as Amalfi which is less than a mile away, and assures you a rare quite stay among the locals, without the crowds of tourists but, at the same time, offers everything necessary for a comfortable vacation : excellent restaurants , shops and supermarkets, bus stops , delightful outdoor cafes and sandy beach. and access to the more famous villages along the coast.
The houses face the beach directly. They are grouped around the square and move around the church of San Salvatore and the marble fountain before going up towards the valley and climbing along the rocky mountain and crossing the gardens and groves of lemons. Atrani is isolated from automobile traffic because it is protected by its antique houses with flowered balconies. The central square of Atrani leads directly to the beach and the sea by crossing an antique passageway created to save boats from sea storms.
There is definitely a special atmosphere and beauty here, and you may recognize it from the many commercials that are filmed here.

From the street level, approximately 70 steps takes to the main door of the building.

FIRST LEVEL

This entire floor opens out to the terrace which runs the length of the villa and features a stunning sea view extending towards the entire coastline, absolutely spectacular especially in the evening, when the coastline and the town of Atrani are both lit up while the small fishing boats slowly pass by.
The terrace boasts a very comfortable and inviting terrace equipped with a living and dining areas covered with a retractable awning . Outdoor furnishings include wickers sofas with cushions sitting 8 people , 4 lounge chairs, 2 sun umbrellas and a table with chairs that can accommodate up to 6 people. There is also a large outdoor shower.
On the right of the living room there are two bedrooms and sharing a hall bathroom. The master bedroom is light and airy. It is equipped with a double bed, two handmade painted bedside tables, large wardrobe, television with satellite TV, a drawers and a wicker armchair. This bedroom offers direct access to the main terrace through a French door but also features access to a small private balcony facing the old tower of Amalfi and a the blue sea.
The second bedroom is a smaller twin bedroom (easily convertible into a double if necessary) with a French door leading to a small balcony with sea view. This bedroom features a wardrobe, a bookcase and a drawers.
The two bedrooms share a spacious bathroom with a bath tub, a washbasin, a bidet and a toilet.

SECOND LEVEL

A flight of steps (about 18 steps) ,paved with cotto tiles, brings you up to an independent area This floor hosts a living area with a wicker sofa, a large double bedroom with 2 bedside tables, a drawer, a wicker armchair and windows with sea views. The bathroom, in the white and yellow local made tiles, has a walk in shower, and windows opening onto the downstairs terrace.
ROOFTOP LEVEL

An additional six steps takes you to the rooftop terrace with an extra outdoor seating area equipped with wicker chairs for 4 people shaded with a sun umbrella.
