We are in love with this villa. You will feel it too the moment you arrive. Casual elegance. A tranquil atmosphere, inside and out. To top it off, you just happen to be in one of Italy's most desirable locations: Chianti. Close to many wonderful places on your bucket list, you are a short drive to a lovely medieval village, 20 minutes to Siena, 50 minutes to Florence and so many beautiful towns, villages and scenery in between. A week will go so fast, better stay for two.

The property includes three acres of land, and is composed of two villas: The main house, and the original 16th century barn that housed the animals. The estate is surrounded by nature, yet surprisingly you are only 10 minutes from the medieval village of Castellina in Chianti, one of the major villages along the Chianti wine road. Wineries abound making it easy to enjoy a tour and tasting or a trip to one of the many nearby villages and be home right after lunch for a swim in the pool on a hot summer afternoon.

The Main house accommodates up to 10 guests and features a custom-designed kitchen furnished with an authentic working fireplace from the Middle Ages. The interiors feature a maze-like succession of open and intimate spaces filled with an abundance of natural sunlight. Finely crafted Tuscan antiques were sourced from around the region and refurbished, and include custom-made hand-carved wood furniture and fine artifacts – large mirrors, elegant tables, finely upholstered chairs and seating, ornate sideboards, and hand-carved wood and wrought iron chandeliers. Each en-suite bathroom has been outfitted with Italian Tuscan marble and travertine stone.

The Granary is the perfect bolthole. With a sumptuously decorated open living and dining room replete with the original stone backdrop, a fully equipped custom chef kitchen featuring grey Italian marble countertops and a kitchen island, and a pergola-covered outdoor dining area with a large travertine table that seats up to 14 people. On the upper level, both bedroom suites benefit from magnificent countryside views and large en-suite bathrooms with Roman double showers.

The outdoor spaces are breathtaking. An expansive additional living space. Take in an afternoon soaking up the sun around the heated saltwater swimming pool or engage in a friendly match of bocce ball while the kids play on the trampoline or a game of badminton or ping pong. Or soak up the solitude of nature with a walk in your own olive grove. Multiple terraces offer secluded places when you need one. Finally, relax on the wisteria-covered pergola for an evening of fine dining, panoramic views, and cherished memories. The saltwater swimming pool can be heated on request
