Villa Carmelo is perfect for families and friends that like to tour for part of the day and return home to relax and enjoy time together. The remarkable part of the villa is the outdoor living area with a covered fully equipped outdoor kitchen and extended living and dining areas centered around the swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Short ride to sandy beaches and the famous Greek ruins known as The Valley of the Temples. Villa Carmelo is close to the town of Agrigento to be convenient but nestled in privacy in southern Sicily. Relax and unwind in one of the many outdoor spaces among cypress, palm trees and lush mediterranean plants either with an espresso to start your day or a glass of Malvasia as you end it.

The remarkable part of the villa is the outdoor living area with a covered fully equipped outdoor kitchen which offers cabinets, sink, oven and stovetop and a beautiful separate barbecue area, the extended outdoor living rooms and dining areas is equipped with a wall mounted TV. This area looks out to the unique shaped swimming pool with an island of palm trees and a row of sunbeds and unmbrellas on the other side. Beyond the swimming pool is a large 4 leaf clover shaped heated jauzzi that can accommodate 16 guests. The outdoor area as a full sound system and at the end of the commpound is a soccer field.

Villa Carmelo consists of two villas beautiful furnished with a contemporary Italian decor. The Main villa's main living room has a luxury leather sectional and flat screen TV and adjoins on open floor plan with fully equipped large galley kitchen with gas and induction stovetops, dining table and second living area. Upstairs can be reached by elevtor or spiral staircase, where you ahve the master suite with king sized bedroom en suite with jacuzzi tub and jacuzzi shower. The queen bedroom and Twin bedroom both have en suite baths with showers.

The Cottage, located steps from the Main villa features a wellness room with Turkish steam bath, hot tub and fitness room a small kitchen and living room. The queen bedroom on this floor is en suite with shower. Upstairs are three bedrooms, One queen en suite with shower and a double and twin bedroom that shares a hall bath with shower.

While situated in full privacy, the villa is close to the town of Agrigento and there are many coffee bars, restaurants, shops and stores within a short driving distance.
A lovely sandy beach and the famous Greek ruins known as Valley of the Temples are both under a 10 minute drive.

While at the villa, Visit the city often, take a walk alonlg the Via Atenea and the panoramic Viale della Vittoria that cominates the Valley and the sea. Stop for an Agrigento treat, the delecate ricotta based pecornio ice cream. move on to the Norman gothic style cathedral of San Gerlando and climb the belltow to admire the rooftops. The medieval town's center is the oldest district built in the 12th century where you will see the church of Santa Maria dei Greci which stands on the bas of a 5th century BC Doric temple . Just outside the town in the San Nicola district visit the Archaeological museum with its panoramic view of the Hill of Temples. The province of Agrigento is known for its long streches of white sandy beaches - from Licata through Punta Bianca and on to San Leone

Visit the country house of Luigi Pirandello, a famous playwriter built in the 18th century in the Caos district, a plateau overhanging the sea among olive and oak trees. Immerse yourself in the scents of the Mediterranean scrubs and enjoy an outdoor concert or event in the Garden of the Kolymbetra inside the Valley of the Temples

Climb the Turks Staircase, 'La Scala dei Turchi" along the stretch of sea between Realmente and :Porto Empedocle. The bright white rock is a soft chalky clay called Mari. The salty breeze off the sea through time carved smooth terraces. For those of you that enjoy contemporary art, head out to Favara to visit the Farm Cultural Park, the sixth site in the world among the ten must see destinations for contemporary art. this small abandoned village has become a creative workshops. There are seven white courtyards in Arabic style connected to each other. Here you will find art galleries, music events, fantastic food and great wines.

Visit the little seaside town of Sciacca for an authentic look at Sicilian life. Then head to Monte Kronio an isolated mountain peak known for the natural caves with steam escaping fron the fissures in the rocks and the cave chapel of Saint Calogero. Before heading back to the villa stop at the Enchanted Castle with an infinity of myusterious faces carved into the rocks.
