Villa Malvasia is located just 22 miles northeast of Siena, towards the town of Ambra in the western Chianti region. A working wine estate that was once a Medici home, the villa has been restored to offer its guests a comfortable and relaxing holiday.
Villa Malvasia is the main villa on the estate, with four other stone buildings that have been converted into rentals as well. You still have your privacy with a large garden complete with fountains and statues.
The estate consists of 100 hectars of land, 22 of which are vineyards of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malvasia and Trebbiano Tuscan vineyards and five original stone buildings that have been restored to offer you beautiful accommodations. You are surrounded by scenic vineyards, along with the opportunity to enjoy a true Tuscan winery experience with the unspoiled land of the Ambra valley.

Sit and soak up the sounds of nature, the big blue sky and look out in the distance to scenes of vineyards, olive groves and further on meadows, woods, castles, hamlets and fortresses. The villa has its own private swimming pool for their exclusive use. A tennis court (balls and racquets provided) and mountain bikes to ride through the picture-postcard landscape are available to everyone on the estate. This is everything you dream of when you think of Tuscany.

Since this is a working vineyard, of course it is possible to book a guided tasting, visit the cellars and tour the vineyards. The owners love to show you how the wines are made and bottled and to enjoy their bouquets and flavors with you. There is also a farm shop where you can purchase a large variety of wines produced on the estate as well as olive oil made from their own olive groves along with other typical Tuscan products made in the area.

GROUND FLOOR
Lots of space in this 1,000 square meter villa (yes, that is 10,900 square feet)! A professionally equipped kitchen, spacious dining room and a large living room with chestnut-beamed ceilings and terracotta floors are separated into smaller areas by archways. A white grand piano in one area and a TV room in another area. You can imagine with 10,900 square feet, there is plenty of room to lounge and relax!

FIRST FLOOR
Six well appointed en suite double bedrooms make up this floor along with a small room that has a double sized sofa bed for 2 children. Pretty views from all of these windows remind you that you are in Chianti.

GARDENS
The loggia is the perfect place to end your day, drinking wine from the vineyards you gaze out upon. A large terrace and Roman garden with a beautiful fountan and statues surrounds you with peace and tranquility.
