The much loved country retreat of its Milanese owners, Podere Giulio is situated on top of a hill just eleven kilometers from Siena. Built in the 12th century as a watchtower for a nearby castle, the views from the property are simply magnificent; a glorious panorama of hamlets and farmhouses nestling in the rolling countryside. No detail has been overlooked or left to chance, with amazing views and dazzling baths. All rooms are beautifully decorated in warm tones of soft gold and coral pink with interesting drawings, comfortable country furnishings and antique pieces scattered throughout.
Located in the heart of the wine country, many famous wineries are just a short drive away as are many fabulous restaurants. The infinity pool has an exercise current, allowing you to work off those decadent Tuscan dinners. Many hill towns with excellent restaurants are within easy reach in the countryside and picturesque Siena is less than a half hour away.
