Porticciolo is situated in the lively lake resort of Toscalano Maderno. This spacious, elegant and completely frescoed apartment is a perfect example of the fascinating 18th century Venetian architecture. Located on the piano nobile of a beautiful 18th century palazzo on the shores of Lake Garda, Porticciolo overlooks the little 'porticciolo' (small public harbor) and the deep blue waters of the lake. Outside, the garden offers lovely areas for relaxing in the shade or sunbathing by the lake. The property is located just a few minutes walk from the historical center of Toscolano Maderno, a popular holiday resort on the lake.
Lake Garda is the largest of Italy's northern alpine lakes and it is also the most tropical. Blocked by the magnificent Dolomites to the north, the temperatures are mild and its waters are clear and warm. The lake has long been a favorite spot since Roman times and has been lauded by poets and writers through the ages. There are many interesting little towns situated along the coast or nestled in the hills. Salò (8km), Gardone Riviera (4km) and the beautiful Sirmione (37km) are all rich in history and culture, with numerous restaurants and interesting shops.
Lake Garda offers many diverse activities to enjoy during your stay. From windsurfing to sailing, from golf to rock-climbing, from bungee-jumping to trekking; here you can find almost any sort of sport you can think of. Either alone or with a guide/instructor and for any level from beginner to expert, there is as much choice as anyone could wish for. Families with children will enjoy the two theme parks in the area (Gardaland - 30 minutes by ferry and 25 kilometers and Caneva World - 30 minutes by ferry and 15 kilometers). There is also a public swimming pool (outdoor and indoor) only eight kilometers away.

ACCOMMODATIONS
FIRST FLOOR
A splendid marble staircase (thirty-six steps) leads to the piano nobile and Porticciolo. The entire apartment is decorated with frescoes dating back to 1798. The floors are antique 'cotto'. The spacious and bright living room has views of the lake, the harbor and the garden. A smaller study opens to a balcony overlooking the garden. There is a large dining room with seating for eight and a fully equipped kitchen. A large, frescoed twin bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower. Two twin bedrooms, a single bedroom and another bathroom with shower complete the apartment.
GARDEN
The large garden (800 square meters) has a furnished patio with a table and chairs for dining al fresco. The main part of the garden and the patio are for the exclusive use of guests staying at Porticciolo. The owner lives on the second floor of the palazzo and two other apartments are on the ground floor. The other guests will only use the garden to access the lake.
