Chifonta is situated at the foot of the Etruscan town of Cortona, in an enchanting location among vineyards and olive trees. The main house sleeps ten guests and the cottage accommodates five guests - perfect for large families or a group of friends. A garden surrounds the large swimming pool, which is fully furnished for outdoor enjoyment. Relax here after a day of sightseeing and savor the breathtaking view of the beautiful city of Cortona.
From your villa you can visit Cortona any time of the day or evening, giving you the chance to live like a native, shop at the market, attend a concert, dine in some of the best trattorias. Base your villa vacation here and you can easily do a lot of convenient day trips. Just down the road is the five star hotel -Il Falconiere where you can have lunch or dinner a cooking class or a hunting expedition or better yet take advantage of their day spa. In an hour you can enjoy Siena's Piazza del Duomo, and the Catherdra's famous inlaid marble floor that took centuries to complete, and the Piccolomini Library whose frescoed ceiling and walls are as bright as the day they were painted. .Don't miss Santa Maria della Scala across from the church, originally a place for pilgrims on their way to the Vatican to rest, it is now restored as a museum.
Enjoy the Thermal baths that dot the area. Definitely workt a few hours shopping is the Valdichiana outlet that offers not only designer clothing and accessories, but neat kitchen stuff to bring home. Just one hour and twenty minutes and you are in our favorite area, the "Le Crete Senesi" Soem of Tuscany's best food and scenery. Wide open landscapes with tall cypress trees lining winding roads, a wide variety of Pecornio cheeses in and around the town of Pienza and oh, those wines of Montepulciano. Don't miss out on the churdh ov San Francesco and its famous frescoes of the True Cros by Piero della Francesca stop for lunch at a great restaurant across the street. The first Sunday of each month Arezzo holds its Antique Fair where you might possibly find that a real treasure to take home. Before heading home, take the picturesque small road to Monterchi. There's lot of hiking to be done in this area, and the bookstore in Cortona has many hiking maps for you to choose the right trails. Head off to Lake Trasimeno for fishing or sitting on its sandy beaches. Or head out to Perugia, Assisi or Orvieto in adjoining Umbria. With so much to do, make sure you spend some time enjoying your villa.

GROUND FLOOR
Enter into the spacious living room with typical furnishings and antique prints. The terrecotta tiled floor has glass windows showing the ancient olive mill below. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a big Tuscan table and a large brick fireplace. There is a King bedroom with en suite bathroom on this floor.
FIRST FLOOR
Accessed by either an indoor or exterior staircase, there are three King bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, one twin / King bedroom ( can be joined on request) with en suite bathroom and a small sitting room.
COTTAGE
Across the courtyard, a set of stairs lead up to the entrance to the cottage' apartment. Here you have a living room, kitchen, two King bedrooms and one single bedrooms, and two baths, one with shower and the other with tub. .
