This sweet cottage is a romantic hideaway, located on the shores of Lake Maggiore. While tucked in a quiet location, away from the tourist hustle and bustle, it is convenient to many varied activities. Nearby (ten minute walk) is a sports club with three tennis courts and a swimming pool for guests to use for a daily or weekly fee. Go hiking in the Val Grande or play a round of golf on one of the ten golf courses nearby. In season, mushrooms and chestnuts can be found in the woods near Gignese. Tour the Borromeo and Brissago Islands, Arona and the Cannero Riviera. Enjoy sailing, windsurfing and waterskiing in Stresa, Belgirate and Lesa. There are also many small villages to explore and more than enough stunning scenery to fill a vacation. Behind the house is a foot path that offers a panoramic view of Lake Maggiore and that leads to the nearby town of Lesa, a five minute walk away. The ferry to the other beautiful lake resort towns and islands is just a ten minute walk. After only a thirty minute drive you can be in Switzerland.

Riva del Lago is quaint lakeshore cottage with its own mooring and beach. The well manicured lawn and gardens lead to the lake and the mooring. Relax lakeside or dine al fresco while enjoying the fabulous views. The house has two wings, connected by a courtyard. The owner lives in one wing and will be happy to help you enjoy your stay without intruding upon your privacy.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Riva del Lago is primarily on one floor. On the ground floor is a living room with billiard table, fireplace and large arched French doors leading to the garden, dining room and an eat-in kitchen with direct access to the garden and a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower. From this bedroom, you can reach the rest of the house by passing through a single bedroom. Adjacent to this single bedroom is a bathroom with marble tub and a separate shower. A spacious double bedroom is located in a loft over this single bedroom. There is also a very small room with a French bed suitable for a child under six years of age.
Outside is lawn furniture for al fresco dining overlooking the lake.
