A luxurious villa in the heart of the picturesque Sienese countryside, in the heart of the Val D'Orcia you find this typical Tuscan Sienese farmhouse surrounded by vineyards and recently restored to a beautiful and elegant country villa. The house is characterized by a central square building whose windows offer breathtaking views of this majestic countryside.
The landscape of the Val D'Orcia is perhaps one of the best preserved and most beautiful areas in Tuscany. The characteristic clay hills in a majestic setting with the Cetona mounts on one side and the Amiata on the other, has been photographed millions of times and can certainly conjure visions of Tuscany to anyone who's been dreaming about a vacation to Italy. In the wooded foothills are little towns and villages, often with their medieval castels towering above. There are also hot springs that have been known since Roman times.
There is a lot to explore in this area that will keep you coming back again and again. Pienza, San Quirico d'Orcia, Bagno Vignoni and Ripa d'Orcia are just a few of the quaint villages you will explore. The lesser known towns of Rocca d'Orcia with the spectacular Rocca di Tentennano, the picturesque little village Castliglione d'Orcia, Campiglia d'Orcia and Vivo d'Orcia and the hot springs of Bagni San Filippo are all within a few minutes drive.
Villa Pienza sits among this pretty countryside. It was just completed for the 2006 season, with elegant country style furnishings inside and out. Nearby there is a nature park where you can enjoy the peace, quiet and beauty of the surrounding area.

ACCOMMODATIONS

GROUND FLOOR
Enter in through the spacious Tuscan style country kitchen designed for those that want to cook, and including all the modern conveniences. Beautiful Tuscany brick floors and chestnut beams abound in this fully equipped gourmet kitchen with two of each of the major appliances. The original stone sink, a marvel in its own right, sits alongside a modern stainless steel one. Both are fully functional. Next to the kitchen is a pantry room to conveniently store your groceries for the week. A short step takes you to the large dining room with a beautiful antique wooden table that can accommodate sixteen comfortably. The dining room has an antique dining table that can seat 16 easily, a sideboard and an original hearth built of terracotta that can be used for cooking or added atmosphere. Beyond the dining room is an elegant yet very comfortable living room filled with antiques and a TV and stereo for gathering after dinner . A beautiful sun room with three large windows overlooking the Val D'Orcia is wonderful place to gather any time of the day. It has two comfortable sofas, a billiard table and some live plants to give the room an outdoor feeling yet it is protected from the elements. There is also a bathroom with 19th century tub on this floor and a antique glass door that opens to the wine cellar where wine is produced as well as the farm' olive oil, and fruits.

FIRST FLOOR
A stone staircase leads to the first floor where there are four double bedrooms each with their own en suite bathroom with shower. Each of these rooms have their own color scheme created by mixing local earth tones with lime giving you a warm and ancient looking color to the walls. A study with bookshelves, writing desk and sofas surrounding a fireplace and another kitchen is also on this floor.

SECOND FLOOR
Another set of stairs takes you to the attic which has been converted into two beautiful twin/double bedrooms that share a bathroom with tub. The bedrooms have sky lights where you can enjoy the stars when you retire.

COTTAGE
A little cottage next to the main house has two additional double bedrooms with their own en suite bathrooms.

GARDENS
The courtyard between the house and the cottages is an extension of outdoor living, with a beautiful furnished terrace for outdoor dining and a wood burning oven and barbeque. Across from the courtyard is a fitness room with a heated 6.5 foot Jacuzzi and picture window looking out on some fabulous views.
A beautiful park surrounds the villa. The owner made a path through the majestic oak trees and placed beautiful stone sculptures of a local artist, giving the walk a sense of great peace and tranquility, with areas to rest under the shade of these magnificent trees.
