The location is ideal for sightseeing, right on the Piazza Santa Croce and the magnificent Gothic church of the same name. The tombs of Michelangelo and Galileo and other famous Florentines are housed there. A short walk will take you to some very small but very interesting museums, such as the Horne Museum, the museum of the story of science, dedicated to Galileo, and two ancient herbal shops, Erboristeria and Erboristeria della Antica Farmacia del Cinghiale (Herbalist at the Old Boar Pharmacy). You can purchase herbal soaps, potpourri and fragrances made from ancient recipes by monks and nuns throughout Tuscany. A few more steps and you are at the Piazza della Signoria and the world famous Uffizi. And that's just in one direction!

ACCOMMODATIONS

Giotto has a large and spacious master bedroom with windows that face the Piazza. There is a wall to wall glass door separation in front of the windows. Part of an ancient wall fresco adds atmosphere to this palatial room. The large dining room table can seat up to ten guests, the living room is spacious and located down the hall. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a master double/twin bedroom with chestnut wood beamed ceiling, an en suite bathroom and an adjacent study. Both rooms have large windows facing the Piazza. A twin bedroom with en suite bathroom, a double/twin bedroom and an adjacent bathroom with shower complete the apartment. On the second floor of Palazzo Antellesi overlooking the square and inner courtyards; 6 steps down from the elevator landing. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms; large and spacious living room, with working fireplace, dining area with table for 6/8 guests. Fully equipped kitchen. Three bedrooms with queen size beds each with en-suite bathroom (two with shower and one with tub and shower). The large living room has a cooking island with Gaggenau induction burners, a Gaggenau oven with incorporated microwave, and an adjacent pantry, which we called "Caffe' Antellesi", containing fridge with ice-maker and a Gaggenau espresso/cappuccino/americano coffee maker. . There are two bedrooms in the back, each with an on-suite brand new bathroom, one of which with tub and shower, and there is one bedroom to the front with a soundproof glass separation that leads to an alcove, and a second alcove leading to a large brand new bathroom with shower. All rooms have large closets. There is one large living room adjacent to one of the bedrooms in the back, with Medieval frescos on the walls, some of them only partially recovered. A semi-professional cooking island stands at one end of the living room, and next to it there is an opening leading to the fridge and kitchen office. The living room has a fireplace, a sofa with chairs, and a dining table for 6/8. Great views of the piazza and central Florence. Each bedroom has their own TV
