The owner /archetitect/ designer family home is a sweet retreat in the walled city of Lucca. Unexpected large and spacious garden with a large terrace, a courtyard, and an informal garden are completely private thanks to the neighboring ancient buildings not having windows. The walled garden adds another level of privasy.
Elegantly decorated from the comfortable furniture down to the finest details. The entire back of the apartment that faces the garden are banks of glass windows and doors, not only adding to the spaciousness but letting the outside in is something you don't find often in a city apartment.
Location is also idea, located in the pedestrian area of Lucca historic center between the two most important churches: San Giovanni and San Romano. In warm weather you will find open air concerts multiple times per week.
The tree lined Piazza Napoleon is just around a short stroll from your apartment. Parking is less than a one minute walk, and the train and bus stations are 850 meters from your front door, just a little over 10 minute walk. Your neighborhood are filled with restaurants and grocery stores filled with locals, but just a short walk you are at the entry point to reach the top of the city's walls where you can bike on the ramparts or picnic on the promenade.
Direct access off the small street of Piazza San Romano and you enter into an extraordinary home. A state of the art modern kitchen, comfortable terracotta tiled barrel ceiling dining room, living rooms and bedrooms that open out to the terraces and garden, three comfortable queen bedrooms and two modern and chic bathrooms, both with walk in showers. While the bank of glass walls bring the inside in along with so much natural light, the walls and surrounding buildings offer you privacy, each of the windows have electronic shades to offer you privacy if you retire from the garden terraces before the rest of your group.
