Set on the hillside just outside of the famed city of Cortona, you can be in the center of town within 10 minutes walk.
From the front door you arrive in a spacious entrance room leading to a large living room with sofas centered around a large stone, working, fireplace. This room was the original horse stables, and adjacent is now the dining room. From here you walk into the fully equipped kitchen and a breakfast table right outside the kitchen. This floor also has a small laundry room and a guest bath. < BR> From the entrance hall, the stone staircase leads up to the sleeping area. At the top of the stairs is a small living room with working fireplace, a balcony and the external staircase leading to the garden. Original terracotta flooring throughout and chestnut beams above. There are two en suite Queen bedrooms, and a twin room that can be joined on request en suite bathroom with tub and wall mounted shower.
The outdoor area runs the length of the house with views of Lake Trasimen and Umbria over the val di chiana and on to Cetona. Outdoor furniture under the loggia and among the sprawling lawns as well as the infinity pool , lots of umbrellas, tabels charis, sofas and sunbeds for outdoor enjoyment. outdoor shower is cold water only, and refreshing on hot summer days.
