It doesn't take much to see yourself and your family right in the center of these photos. Close your eyes for a minute and imagine it: The kids playing Marco Polo in the pool, moms and dads gathered around the BBQ wine glass in hand while the grandparents are sitting under the large umbrella pine trees the gentle breeze bringing the salty sea mixed with the scent of Mediterranean plants while the older kids are taking a dip in the sea. The outdoor area is a large living room area that we guarantee you will be spending most of your time in.
The nearby village of Modica , one of the Unesco listed towns. This pretty baroque style village is famous for chocolate and merited as a traditional regional food. It is characterized by its grainy texture the recipe brought from the Spaniards using the Aztec methods. The Aztec original recipes flavored it with cinnamon or vanilla, but a variety of flavors are available now, and the many chocolate shops lining the beautifully worn Baroque buildings including chili, coffee, citrus , anise, carob, mint, almonds, pistachio and ginger. A flavor for every family member. Each autumn, the village holds Chocobarocco, a famous chocolate festival. Even if you are not there in the fall, there are plenty of festivals and events held throughout the year. Make sure to visit the tourist information center at the town's museum on Corso Umberto. Nearby Scicli is another Unesco Baroque town and is highly recommended for those that want to get off the beaten path and see an authentic Sicily. Stroll around the streets and soak it all in. Nearby Ragusa's lower part of the town is always a delightful surprise, rebuilt after the 1693 earthquake it is something magical. Make sure you see both sides of the city, Superiore, rebuilt by the aristocrats, and Ragusa Ibla by the other half of the citizens.
No matter where you go and what you enjoy while you are sightseeing, you will always be happy to return home to this incredible family friendly villa.
