Villa Marcella is the perfect home for those who want to experience the Amalfi Coast but having all conveniences are at your doorstep. Yet the villa is located in a peaceful green garden and a one minute walk to the beach which holds a magnificent panoramic view on Naples Bay. A 15 minute walk to the train station and also the Ferry that will take you to Positano, Amalfi and Capri. You can also reach the Amalfi coast by bus bus or feel free to drive your car knowing you have private parking when you return home in the evening. The villa is located in Sorrento's historic city center, surrounded by Sorrento's ancient palaces of historical importance. All within walking distance is the Museum Correale di Terranova and the famous Piazza Angelina Lauro – named after prominent shipowner Achille Lauro's wife -, Piazza Tasso, the city center with its statues of Torquato Tasso and St. Anthony, and the tower with its clock in the antique entrance gate, which provides a view on the harbor and ancient Surrentum Valley.
It is possible to hire a Sailboat for a full day starting at 830 or 9 am and returning back to the harbor by 6:30
some suggestions:
Sail along the coastline of Sorrento; visit the bay of Queen Giovanna, Puolo Bay, and the Bay of Mitigliano.
or a side trip to smaller bays for lunch break at Grotta bianca, Marina grande or Faraglioni. Also possible to visit the Blue Grotto depending on weather.
Refreshing swimming break in the crystal clear waters of Nerano; continuation of the trip to Positano. There will always be free time for shopping or sightseeing in various harbor towns.
Leaving from Piano di Sorrento, you will admire the coastline of Sorrento Peninsula, the bay of Queen Giovanna, Puolo Bay, and the Bay of Mitigliano. Arrival at Capri.

Villa Marcella is the perfect home for those who want to experience lively Sorrento as well as the Amalfi Coast with the convenience of being able to walk to many places of interest. it is an easy 1 minute walk to the beach, a 15 minute walk to the train station and the center of the town of Sorrento as well as the Ferry that will take you to Positano, Amalfi and Capri. Otherwise you can hop on the bus or take your car knowing you have private parking when you return home in the evening. And when you return home, you can have dinner on the terrace, take a dip in the pool or retreat to the fully air conditioned villa.
The villa is designed on multi levels of short staircases, offering wonderful wide open rooms as well as little alcoves.
INTERIOR
As you enter the villa, to your right is the fully equipped kitchen, a large contemporary open space living area with comfortable seating areas for reading, listening to music or watching TV and windows and doors leading out to the terrace and garden.
From the living room you have an open staircase that leads to the loft style office, underneath that loft area is a formal dining room all in white.
On this floor you have the master bedroom with queen bed and en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and walk in shower
Short staircases of three to seven steps leads from one room to another.
A staircase leads down to the basement where you have a workout studio with treadmill, stationary bike, Nautalis weights and Elliptical machine as well as a laundry with washer and dryer. ,br>
Upstairs you have a second living room with double faced fireplace and another dining table with seating area well suited for playing cards, watching TV or planning your next day's adventure.
On the third floor are the four bedrooms, two are en suite and two share a hall bathroom with tub and wall mounted shower.
GARDENS
Private, gated gardens with parking area covers approximately 3,000 square feet. The above ground pool has a wood deck trim, and terraces have lounge chaises and tables and chairs expanding the indoor living area into a relaxing outdoor dining room.
