La Cantinetta is located on a small but prestigious boutique winery. Situated on a hill top of over 130 acres, the vineyard is along the famous and picturesque Chianti Wine Road offering the most beautiful views of vineyards and hills. Equidistant from Florence and Siena, its history as a farm dates back to 1085 and its current owners have restored it to a gracious vineyard residence. This wine estate is often featured on posters and postcards for sale in neighboring towns. Paintings and photos adorn the walls of several businesses and restaurants.

You are just 3 kms to the popular town of Panzano in Chianti – home of the famous butcher, Dario Cecchini who has opened a few restaurants including Soliccia, where diners sit at long comunal tables. Panzano has a number of festivals, the most popular is the Vina al Vino, the Chianti festival held on the third weekend of September. From La Lepre, within 50 minutes you will be in Florence, Siena or the entrance to the major autostrada and in Lucca in one hour fifteen minutes.
The property is for the sole use of the guests,and you will enjoy complete privacy without being disturbed by the winemaker or guests at the tasting shop below.

ACCOMMODATIONS

GROUND FLOOR
Enter through the small courtyard and through the front door into the living room. A door to the right takes you to the fully equipped gym with life cycle staionary bicycle, treadmill, rowing machine and hand weights. From the living room you enter the eat in kitchen with large dining room table, a granite island and two sinks. A gaggenau oven and microwave, gas stove with 2 additional ovens and a raised fireplace for grilling are in this kitchen. Through the kitchen is the 'work' kitchen, where there is a Sub Zero refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and large sink. An alcove to the left of the kitchen has the Miele washing machine and dryer and a guest bathroom with shower. The first of three terraces is located outside the kitchen and dining area with views of the vineyard. It has a large table and built in barbecue.

FIRST FLOOR
Five steps lead from the living room where you have a double bedroom with fireplace and en suite bathroom with shower. Doors lead to a small private terrace

SECOND FLOOR
Continue up from the first floor landing just six steps and you are in a large living room furnished with four couches, a large bookcase with books in many languages, SAT TV, DVD player and a computer with internet access (WiFi is throughout the house). There is a covered terrace from the living room that looks out to the backyard and views of the Chianti hills.

THIRD FLOOR
Off the living room are two sets of four steps. The first set takes you to a hallway to reach the queen bedroom with a balcony and views onto the vineyards and main terrace area. The second set of stairs takes you to a hallway with a twin bedroom which can convert to a king bedroom and a bathroom that is shared with the other bedroom.

FOURTH FLOOR
Another small staircase, this with five steps, lead to the fourth bedroom, a large queen bed with fireplace, dressing room and en suite bathroom with shower.
The fifth bedroom, a queen with large en suite bathroom and shower can be entered through the fourth bedroom or by the balcony at the end of the hall on the third floor.

THE GROUNDS
The villa is located on the upper most area of the small vineyard. At the entrance of the vineyard is a small tasting room which is open to the public but you continue past the tasting room and up the private road to the farmhouse. Here you have privacy of manicured lawns and trees and shrubs. Three terraces surround the house for dining alfresco or just resting with a book and glass of wine. A small path leads from the back of the house to the swimming pool which is completely private and offers views of the hills and vineyards of Chianti.
