Return home in the afternoon and relax by the pool, which is fed by a naturally warm spring – your own private thermal bath!
The village of San Casciano dei Bagni has been famous since the earliest times for its abundant thermal springs. Its forty-two springs were discovered by the Etruscans and developed by the Romans. The waters were at the height of their fame in the period between the Renaissance and the middle of the 18th century. Today, the medieval center of San Casciano is composed of a maze of narrow streets and squares that wrap themselves around the hill and wind upwards towards the Collegiate and the town hall. Spend a day exploring the ancient village and sample the locally produced wines, cheeses and extra virgin olive oil.
Main House
Ground Floor
From the entrance hall, the living room is warm and spacious with soft pastel walls, comfortable sofas and a large hearth and fireplace. The sunny dining room seats sixteen guests and French doors open to the terrace. The heart of the house is the modern kitchen, which is fully equipped. It includes a gleaming professional range, two sinks and a large marble-topped table, ideal for cooking with several pairs of hands, also a breakfast table that can seat 6. Another pair of doors open onto a large veranda, the perfect setting for al fresco dining while watching the sun set behind the breathtaking panorama of olive groves and the rolling verdant hills of the Val d'Orcia. A twin / king bedroom with en suite bathroom with tub and a a small study with en suite bath with tub completes this floor.
First Floor
Two twin bedrooms that can be joined on request have their own en suite bathrooms with tub. A single French sleigh bed with shower and a study /library is perfect or quiet moments alone or if you need to get some work done while on vacation.

First Floor A flight of stairs take you to the king/twin bedroom with en suite bathroom with tub.
Both bedrooms in the guest house have a small sitting room.

A veranda overlooks the pool area and the undulating hills of the Val d'Orcia. The pool is fed by a warm spring and has a natural temperature of 86°F and is surrounded by lavender and roses. You will never want to leave!

The veranda is off of the kitchen, with table for alfresco dining and a sitting area. Facing the west, it is the perfect place to watch the setting sun.
Swimming pool ( 39 feet x 20 meters is located across the lawn and reached by a set of stone steps. Set among lavender and rose bushes and with chaise lounges and chairs as well as a covered area for shade. The pool is fed by a warm spring with a natural temperature of 86 F. Breathtaking views of the Val d'Orcia laid out in the distance gives a sense of Nirvana.
