The owner, a restoration expert of historical homes, took great care in the restoration of Villa Paradiso. The flooring came from a 14th century monastery and old wood beams and local terracotta tiles were used in the reconstruction of the ceilings. Original stone fireplaces are found in all of the common rooms and some of the bedrooms, yet the owner has merged the modern with the ancient as seen in the incredibly beautiful bathrooms with antique armoires and modern showers and fixtures.
The estate is comprised of three buildings: The Main House, The Guest House, and a few meters away at the entrance to the estate, The Guards House ideal for a couple that wants a little privacy.
Set among the green Umbrian hills, this estate has a privileged position with incredible 360° views. Its position on a hillock assures your privacy as a one kilometre gravel road leads off of a paved state road and ends at the gated entrance. Yet with all this privacy, you are well linked to the town of Umbertide, a mid sized town of 15,000 inhabitants offering a good train line for other parts of Italy as well as many good restaurants and shops. Cortona is just 35 minutes in the other direction offering you a taste of Tuscany as well. The E45 Highway is only a few kilometres but not seen or heard from the villa. Perugia is only a 20 minute drive. Lake Trasimeno and its beaches can be reached within 15 minutes as well as a famous 18 hold golf club.
Incredible attention to detail, not only the floors restored from a nearby monastery built in 1300's and the terracotta and wood beamed ceilings, down to each ancient wooden door buffed to a soft and glowing sheen shows its age and scars so gracefully that you can't help to stop to admire them each time you pass through each threshold. Beautiful antiques blend in with the modern comforts and soft brown and white hues of this home that envelops you with comfort and eaze the moment you arrive.

Enter the estate via a one kilometer gravel road, an electric gate and totally fenced in property offer you complete privacy.
Ground Floor
Cross the covered terrace into a bright and airy living room. To your left are two doors leading to a guest bathroom and the stairs to the first floor and beyond the hallway is the studio/ TV room. There is another staircase that leads down to the cantina and the laundry room. A sharp left takes you to the other area of the house, a large dining room and kitchen with closet and storage room.
First Floor
The first floor can be reached by the internal staircase in the study and also from the external staircase in the front of the house. This floor is just as bright and airy as the first. From the internal staircase, you come to a hallway. On your left is a lovely suite where the wardrobe makes a partition between the bedroom and the bathroom with Jacuzzi bath tube and shower. On the right is the smaller of the three bedrooms with en suite bathroom and wardrobe closet.
The third bedroom is reached by the external staircase located at the main entrance of the villa. Once at the top of the staircase, a small outdoor terrace leads to a hallway and opens to a spacious bedroom with en suite bathroom. Here the gorgeous truss ceiling and the wonderful stone fireplace located near the bed create a magic atmosphere. Because of the private entrance, this room is the most private.

THE GUEST HOUSE 117 square meters ( 1275 square feet), Sleeps 4
The Guest House is on one floor, with lots of arched windows, this house is light as breezy as well. Enter into the large living room with old fireplace and wood beamed ceilings in the same style as the main house. From the living room the hallway leads straight to the back of the house. The kitchen and bathroom on your left and a double bedroom on your right. At the end of the hallways is a larger double bedroom with en suite bathroom.

THE GUARD HOUSE 71 square meters ( 774 square feet), Sleeps 2
At the entrance to the estate is a small cottage, ideal for the staff or grandparents, or teenagers. Enter into the Livingroom/ bedroom a small kitchen and a bathroom with shower.

THE GARDENS
The heart of this estate is the magnificent gardens and 360° views of the green rolling hills of Umbria. Olive and other Mediterranean trees offer relaxing areas throughout as well as a large pool with sand colored floor and surrounded by terracotta tiles. Lavender bushes surround the tree giving off a wonderful fragrance on hot summer days. The dressing rooms are hidden behind greenery obstructing the pump rooms and the electronic pool cover. .
