Villa Amore still belongs into the same noble Swiss family who came here on holiday at the turn of the century, fell in love with the area and decided to build their Italian holiday home on the shores of Lake Como. Carefully restored and completed in 2008 by the original owner's decendents, great attention to detail was necessary to restored it to its original characteristics and adding the modern comforts of today. The home has many fine tapestries and fabrics, fine wood floors with geometric inlays, beautiful painting on cover the walls and family period furnishings equal a comfortable and elegant home.

Located on the shores of romantic Lake Como, between the famous Villa d'Este hotel in Cernobbio and George Clooney's residence in Laglio, Villa Amore has a beautifully landscaped garden, with a panoramic seventy square meter terrace overlooking the lake with spectacular views, allowing you to relax or sunbathe in full privacy. From the villa's private dock, get the best view of Lake Como from your own rental boat or a hired water taxi and take a leisurely ride while you enjoy the views of the ancient villas and their gardens. Visit the surrounding villages of the lake with their shops and cafés, as well as the nearby towns of Menaggio, Bellagio,and Tremezzo – all are a just a short boat ride away. The outdoor gardens and terrce are just ideal for dining alfresco, or finding your little nook to sit and read a book in peaceful nirvana.

The section of the lake that extends from Como to Tremezzo is a sophisticated resort, where there are no isolated or rural areas. One visits for the scenery, the luxury shopping, and the incredible views from the stylish restaurants and cafés. Ancient villages and enchanting gardens are the setting for the historical villas of the Lombardy aristocracy, which dot the coastline like jewels in a crown.

This area also offers many other activities besides sightseeing to fill up your days. Water sports available include water-skiing, jet skiing and kayaking. Nine golf courses are within 50 kilometers, three casinos are nearby and don't forget shopping in Como, Bellagio, Lugano and Fox Town in Mendrisio.

GROUND FLOOR
Marble entrance foyer leads into the spacious dining room with fireplace and French doors opening to the panoramic terrace, a double living room with sofas, period furniture, satellite plasma TV, and French doors opening to the terrace, offering a beautiful lake view, well equipped kitchen, a second, fully equipped kitchen with Weber barbecue and a bathroom with shower.

FIRST FLOOR sleeps 8 + 1
Top of the staircase is the study with a desk and internet connection. Four double bedrooms, all with lake views. There are four hall bathrooms on this floor. There is a single bedroom with a glass door available on request..

MANSARDA sleeps 8 + 1
The mansarda, or attic, has a double bedroom with an adjoining single bed, three twin bedrooms (cannot be combined as doubles) and two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a Jacuzzi tub. Note there are no lake views from any rooms on this floor.

LOWER LEVEL
Here is a wine cellar, with wines to purchase, as well as olive oil and salami and a tasting area with sofas. The laundry room is also on this level.

GARDEN
Large seventy square meter terrace to enjoy the views of the lake, Private dock for renting your boat, which is the best way to enjoy the views of these magnificent, aristocratic villas and their gardens. If you don't want to rent a boat, you can hail a taxi boat from the dock or pick up one of the Navigazione dei Laghi ferries just 400 meters from the house.
