Sposalizio gets its name from the famous painting a young Raphael created for the nearby city. Sposalizio (the famous painting ) is now in Milan but this charming and cozy home is waiting for you, the ideal home for weddings, family reunions and gatherings of friends.
The owners can provide everything you need to get married ( Sposa ) here. It starts with Mother Nature providing a romantic setting with idealic scenery and vistas, while the owners arrange your catering, flowers, music and photographer. They can even supply a hairdresser and make up artist to be at the house on the day of your wedding.
If you're not getting married, they can still provide you with delicious dinners and the most selected Umbrian wines from vineyards that you gaze upon every day you are here.
This traditional Umbrian country house has the comfortable felling of home, Italian Style of course, with soft pastel colored walls or authentic stone ones, with chestnut wood ceilings and warm terracotta floors. It has plenty of room, inside and out, with lots of views and a spectacular nature park. The nearest town of Castello offers pleasant surprises with its rich history, monuments, and secular culture, and an environment where the respect for nature walks together with ancient stone and brick towns.
Several exhibitions held all year long offer the opportunity to enrich your visit with art, culture, sport and crafts.Visit the Montesca Villa and park ,Buonriposo Hermitage, Fontecchio Thermal Baths, Belvedere Church, Canoscio Basilica, Petroia Abbey and the Saint Crescentino Oratory, all within a 20 minute drive from the villa.

After walking through the main entrance you come across a warm and cozy kitchen and an adjoining dining room and further along a cozy living room with a huge fireplace. A guest bathroom is also on this floor as well as a large outside terrace with spectacular views.

An impressive staircase leads up to the first floor where the landing opens up to a spacious second living room with another large fireplace. This floor has a bunk bed room with powder room and a double room with king sized bed. Ideal for children. A very cute covered terrace ( loggia) has an exterior staircase leading down to the gardens.

An independent cottage on the property has a cozy litte livingroom with fireplace and small kitchen. It is completed with a King Bedroom with Fireplace and another King Bedroom. These bedrooms share a bathroom with tub and shower.
GARDENS A lovely park surrounds the property, the large gardens immediately surrounding the house has a vegetable garden near the BBQ for scrumptous fresh dinners, Gazebos on the terrace next to the house and another poolside for relaxing amidst nature.
