Recently renovated, this luxury home with a small cottage in the gardens is conveniently located just five kilometers from the famous city of Lucca. With breathtaking views set in the countryside of olive groves, vineyards and cypresses, this home was originally two farm buildings on an impressive estate. The owners restored the property to luxury standards using authentic materials in the traditional Lucchese style including terracotta floors and chestnut beamed ceilings creating a light and airy feeling.
The setting is serene and tranquil, with a large main house that was once a barn, connected by what was once an ancient barnyard and now an amazing courtyard, to the small barn that stored the hay for the cows and sheep. The outside living areas are just delightful, with lawns, gardens and wooded lots surrounding the home, creating an outdoor living space that can be enjoyed day and night. A stone's throw from the house is a 16th century chapel that is still used for small weddings.
Like much of Italy, Lucca lies within a wine producing region. Diciannove itself is on the famous wine road, a designated self wine tour route north of Lucca. This area has a large number of wineries, many of which can be visited for tours and tastings by prior arrangement. Visits to Chianti, Montepulciano and Montalcino are also possible for day trips.
The main house has seven en suite bathrooms and one bedroom that has its own entrance from the hallway and is also connected to bedrooms on each side. This room is ideal for children, as they must share a bathroom with another en suite bedroom. Two addtional bedrooms are located in the charming converted hay barn.

Ground Floor
A large entrance hall shows off an extensive open floorplan on the left consisting of a kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplaces and a guest bathroom. On the right is a TV room, laundry room, study, storage room, huge gym and a double bedroom en suite with bath. The beautiful stone staircase leads up to a large hallway with a chestnut beamed glass roof above staircase.

First Floor The first floor consists of six en suite bedrooms. Another bedroom, at the end of the hall, is situated between two of the en suite bedrooms. It has interconnecting doors to both of the double bedrooms and must share one of their bathrooms. This bedroom is best suited for children or very good friends. At the opposite end of the hallway is a small TV room.

The Hay Barn Cottage Sleeps 4
Across the courtyard is a very quaint cottage that has been converted from an ancient small barn that stored hay and straw. Enter into the eat in kitchen, a living room and further on are two bedrooms, a double and a twin and a shared bathroom in the hallway. All rooms have French doors leading out to the private terrace, giving this quaint cottage a light and airy feeling.

Outside Area
The living space extends to the outdoors where you have a large sitting, dining and barbeque area covered by a high chestnut beamed roof. The charming ancient courtyard connects the main house, the hay barn and the swimming pool, giving a warm cozy feeling, as though you are living among the beautiful landscaped gardens and woodlands that surround you. The views are simply breathtaking!
