Nestled in the hills between Todi and Perugia, this charming estate consists of three beautifully restored Umbrian farmhouses. This group of homes offers you a high level of comfort, with classic country elegance amid the peace and comfort of the nature that surrounds this lovely property.
While each house reflects the history of Umbria, they each have their own personality and each house is unique in its own right. The owner has carefully chosen the furnishings to make you feel comfortable; upholstered sofas and chairs in solid and floral prints, solid wood antique tables and chairs with a softly worn finish and pastel colored walls decorated with watercolors and oil paintings. Local ceramics and tiles were used in the restoration, as well as hand cut stone steps, ornate wrought iron gates and painted eves.
When renting the three houses together, it becomes a wonderful private compound that can accommodate up to 22 guests with your own private fitness center and the peace and comfort of the nature that surrounds the estate. While renting all three offers complete privacy in the surrounding of country elegance, each house will also assure you privacy if renting alone, since they are separated by expansive lawns, gardens and olive groves and perched on the slope of a hill.
From this central location, you can easily explore all areas of Umbria. Day trips can include the well known cities and towns of Perugia, Todi, Assisi, Spoleto, Orvieto, Terni, Gubbia and Lake Trasimeno, yet still offers the opportunity to visit many of the lesser known and very pretty medieval towns that date back to the Roman period. These small towns still evoke the sense of Umbrian life, where you can enjoy the life style that has been passed on through the centuries.

ACCOMMODATIONS

One of the three beautifully restored farmhouses located behind a private, gated country estate in the heart of Umbria, Casa Martani has magnificent panoramic views and is in an ideal location for touring the many charming medieval towns in the surrounding countryside. Casa Martani (300 square meters - sleeps 10) is a two story farmhouse with a mansarda (attic) that has been recently restored into a classic Umbrian farmhouse. A cozy living room, fully equipped eat in kitchen, four spacious bedrooms with large windows that frame picturesque views of the Umbrian countryside and two covered terraces overlooking the large garden and infinity pool. This is the perfect place to sit and relax, while you take in the sun setting on the surrounding hills.
Ground Floor: From the gated parking area, a path leads to the ancient farmhouse built from the local brown stones. Enter through the covered terrace with wood burning stove and large farm table with benches, into a large and spacious living room with an ancient Umbrian table and a very cozy living room with upholstered chairs and sofas centered around a 16th century fireplace and French doors leading out to the gardens.
A large archway leads you into the spacious and fully equipped kitchen with a long antique dining table that can seat twelve guests. On the other side of the kitchen is a double bedroom with a large picture window that looks out onto the olive groves, this bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower.
First Floor: The brick staircase takes you to the first floor. Here you have a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower and two double/twin bedrooms with en suite bathrooms with showers. The sunroom, facing the gardens and swimming pool, has a living area with rattan furniture, a kitchen area and dining area. This room can also be reached from an external staircase. At the top of the stairs, a wall-mounted wooden ladder leads to the mansard or attic bedroom where there are two twin beds, a perfect room for teenagers.
