Just a short distance is Varenna, a sleepy lakeshore town with beautiful old houses and romantic panoramas. Built on a rocky promontory, it was for centuries a sentinel at the heart of the lake. Along the lakefront is a romantic path, linking the town center and Olivedo, the landing point for ferries and steamers. The town is an ideal base for exploring northern and central Italy as well as the Swiss Alps. There are lots of things to do in this area, and Bellagio is a romantic 15 minute ferry ride across the lake.

GROUND FLOOR:
Enter the villa by walking across a pretty terrace which offers a lovely view. Once through the threshold, you walk into the living room and on to a small kitchen with a dining area.
FIRST FLOOR:
Large windows on this floor overlook the garden and allow for a bright and airy interior. This floor has a study/sitting room, one double bedroom with a queen-size bed, two double bedrooms with two twin-size beds each. There is a single bedroom that is suitable for children as there is no door to this room and it is open to the hallway. Two bathrooms complete this floor.

OUTDOOR AREAS:
The swimming pool, which is shared by the owner, is reached by fifteen steps down from the house. There is a small bathroom located near the pool area. The gardens were improved in 2008. These improvements to the grounds have enhanced the outdoor living experience with pretty quiet garden areas and paths, in a park-like setting. The tennis courts, swimming pools and expansive lawns are shared by the other properties on the estate.

RECEPTION HOUSE:
The Reception House is located 15 meters from the villa. Here you have a communal area for all guests staying at the estate. there is a recreation room with a living area, dining area, satellite TV, ADSL internet line, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, ping pong table, and a card table.
