Villa Chiaroscuro is a superb Tuscan country villa with a perfect, secluded, hill top location in the middle of a 2,500 acre private estate. A winding tree-lined, private country road leads to the property, which is situated within its own gated grounds and gardens. Overlooking the entire estate, Villa Chiaroscuro boasts views full circle while the neighboring hill towns of Montaione, Gambassi and Castelfiorentino are visible on the horizon. A privately owned family home, originally restored for personal use, Villa Chiaroscuro is a highly comfortable, luxury property with beautiful grounds and breathtaking views.
The extremely spacious ground floor living area opens out through a series of original Tuscan brick archways. On the one side a cozy sitting/reading room offers Sat TV and VCR facilities and the adjacent main living room is dominated by a massive Tuscan fireplace. The magnificent double dining area features a beautiful heavy antique main table that opens up to seat more than 25 guests quite easily.
The villa offers ten bedrooms, comprising six elegant double rooms and two spacious suites, all with en suite or private bathrooms and can therefore accommodate twenty guests comfortably. All bedrooms and the two first floor suites are fully air-conditioned.
The large, highly functional and very pretty country kitchen is fully equipped to keep the most particular chef happy and enabling easy catering for large groups of family and friends.
The walls are washed in soothing pastel color tones and the furnishings are in an elegant, Tuscan country style with a select number of restored antique pieces of the highest quality. Exposed beamed ceilings, antique Tuscan terra cotta floors, aged wood parquet flooring in all bedrooms and handmade tile and marble bathrooms offer the elegance expected with this type of villa.
The owners have created a magnificent outdoor living room, with a beautiful infinity pool that is strategically placed so it receives the sun from sunrise to sunset with some of the most beautiful panoramic views of Chianti that will make it hard for you to leave the estate. The pool area has a large shaded loggia of antique terracotta floors and classical colonial style teakwood furniture. The loggia overlooks and leads directly down onto the poolside sun terrace. Adjacent to the loggia is a huge open barbecue and grill, with roasting spit and a large stone washbasin and work area.
The beautifully landscaped garden offers extensive Mediterranean shrub and herbaceous borders, rose and lavender gardens, pine and cypress trees, an olive grove and a large English~American lawn area which is an ideal play area for children. Both the pool and gardens are lit at night creating a magical atmosphere to sit and relax under a canopy of stars.
Chiaroscuro is a large, spacious home, offering total comfort and privacy. Ideal for family reunions, a large group of friends or business associates, this magnificent villa offers a Tuscan atmosphere immersed in the Chianti countryside with large communal rooms to gather together but still offering individual privacy in its well appointed and elegant rooms and suites.

Ground Floor Reception Rooms: Very spacious double dining area that will seat 26 comfortably, along with two additional smaller dining tables ideal as the children's table or for breakfasts. A large fireplace dominates the living room and sitting/reading room with another open fireplace and there is a large country kitchen where you can easily prepare meals for the entire group.
The ground floor has a total of three bedrooms.
Ground Floor (sleeps 6): One double bedroom with en suite bathroom and French doors that look onto the pool, another spacious double bedroom with private hallway and bathroom and French doors that open onto the garden and a twin bedroom with large private bathroom, again with double French doors that overlook the lawn and olive grove. All of these bedrooms are air conditioned and all have private access to/from exterior (no need to pass through main house).

The first floor consists of three wings for a total of six bedrooms. Each wing has the original private external stone staircase, a typical feature of ancient Tuscan homes.
Northeast Wing (sleeps 4): Private Tuscan stone staircase access, entrance hall, one double bedroom with en suite bath and a second double bedroom with private entrance and private bathroom. Again, all are air conditioned.
Central Wing (sleeps 4): Private Tuscan stone staircase access, covered balcony, large lounge with open fire place, dining area with kitchen corner, a double bedroom with en suite bathroom and a very spacious twin room with en suite bathroom. Air conditioned throughout.
South Wing (sleeps 4): Private Tuscan stone staircase access and a balcony facing the pool. Lounge with dining area and kitchen corner, small sitting/reading room, a double bedroom with private shower room and a twin bedroom with private bathroom. Air conditioned throughout.

Poolside Suite (sleeps 2): Large double bedroom with open fireplace, small en suite bathroom and large French doors onto a private sun terrace and path to the pool. Air conditioned.

Gardens: The large completely furnished loggia/terrace is additional living space perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views of Tuscany. The loggia has cushioned teak furniture and terracotta floors with a large dining area. Steps from the terrace lead down to a sun deck and a large expanse of lawn. The large swimming pool ranges from 1.2 meters deep on one end to 2.5 meters deep on the other end. There is a large outside barbecue with roasting spit, grill area and a large prep area with counters and stone sink. The vast gardens include lawns, olive groves, rose and lavender gardens and flowered terraces. When illuminated at night, it creates a mystical atmosphere and extends your living space.
