This 18th century residence has been owned by the same family for over 100 years. Its history goes further back, where you can visit the original Roman brick and stonework of the first century cistern hat this "new" villa was built on. This cistern, complete with traces of the original stucco walls, supplied water to the Roman Senator, Julius Cornutus Tertullus in the year 100AD. Julius used his villa to escape the summer heat of Rome. You can too! Have your breakfast in the parlor with the morning sun streaming in the large windows. Dinner can be served in the dining room on a Renaissance period refectory table that seats up to fifteen guests or outside on the beautiful grape vine covered terrace. You can also have your espresso and biscotti on the upper level terrace with spectacular views that stretch from the surrounding vineyards on to Rome and the Apennine mountain range. The kind and warm owner lives in a separate wing of the villa and will be a comfort should you need advice on what to do and can direct you to nearby towns and activities.

First Floor: Enter through the main door with a foyer and stairs leading upstairs to the beautiful country kitchen with all the equipment you will need to prepare a gastronomic feast. The parlor room is on the other side of the foyer and is the perfect place to sneak away to read a book, play a game or just have your morning breakfast as the sun streaks through the windows. The entire back of the villa consists of a large living/dining room that measures 50' x 20' . A small bedroom and bathroom for the owner is in the east wing of the villa.
Second Floor: This floor has four double bedrooms, a small sitting room with French doors and a single bedroom in an open landing. Four steps up will take you to an expansive rooftop terrace with spectacular vistas all the way to Rome and beyond.
Although there is no pool, there is a country club only 2 kilometers away with a nice pool, tennis courts and restaurant.
