Guest Reviews: R32 - Flavia

Back to Property Details

The Flavia was wonderful. We loved the apt and the location. It was perfect for us.

The apartment was everything promised plus more. We walked everywhere, from the Vatican to Forum area, especially as the weather was so perfect. We were so comfortable, and did not want for anything. Paola stocked our pantry with delicious staples (highly recommend this), so we ate in a couple of nights, as well as one lunch ( & every breakfast) The night before check-out, we walked around the neighborhood one last time, and felt we were leaving part of ourselves behind!

We loved our stay at Flavia! Thank you for suggesting it, you were right on the mark, it was perfect ! The location was ideal, we loved walking to the Trevi Fountain in the evenings, after dinner and an ice cream and we found it easy to get around Rome from here. We will miss our little apartment in the heart of Rome and look forward to retuning again.

Location was excellent; clean property; good bathroom for Rome; good size for two people; safe and secure; everything you would need on site; exactly like the pictures on the web site; quiet for the most part-especially given the busy location.
Wi-Fi should just be an expectation in any apt rental given the need for both travel and business connections. Had to go to News Café for connection (they were very good and just around the corner) and then to an Internet Service near the Spanish Steps to print off our boarding passes.(Note from Papavero: WiFi will be installed for 2011) Secondly, we didn?t watch much TV but if you have one it would be nice to have an English channel or two.Lots of light but the view was only of the building across the street. The only other unpleasant surprise what that there was a 'sewer smeill' in th etoilet. not sure if that was a "Rome thing" or associated with this apartment. ( Note from Papavero: this could occur at times throughout many apartments in Rome, but this is the first time it has happened with our guests. On each inspection/stay, we did not experience this.
Location couldn't have been better-right between the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps; tons of restaurants, shops and every place we went (and I mean every) we walked to. Though a busy area when you closed the windows it was quite quiet.
Favorite restaurants were Life Restaurant Via della Vite 29; La Taverna dei Fori Imperiali near the Colliseum (ate there three times); News Café for espresso and drinks with free Wi-Fi; the restaurant right across the street (can?t remember the name); and San Crispin 100 feet away from our front door for Gelato; of course all the great places in Rome for museums, sites, parks (Villa Borghese was a wonderful museum) and just plain walking.I have already told a number of my friends looking to go to Rome to use Papavero-if I am comfortable recommending you to my friends then my experience with you must have been outstanding-and it was.

ENCHANTING apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Flavia The location was ideal, close to the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Pantheon and Spanish Steps. The only thing that bothered me was that the ice cream and a pastry shops were just down the street from the apartment and I had to have one every day. It was a good thing I did a lot of walking. Best Memory Coming home from dinner late one night and stopping at an uncrowded Trevi Fountain to sit and stare at its beauty. Yes, we did throw a coin in the fountain and hope to return someday soon.

We couldn't have had a better experience! A great apartment and my fears of it being too small were for naught! The bedrooms were tiny, but our family of four relaxed together in the open living and dining rooms and even managed to cook a pasta meal together one night. Wonderful location, just minutes from the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. We were grateful that all the rooms were air conditioned as it was very warm in July. We were able to figure out the bus system and since the bus stop was nearby it was convenient to get around all parts of Rome. The only down side was that some nights, even wtih the windows closed there was noise from the streets, but I guess this is Rome and should be expected. We will return. Thanks so much!

We were a family of four and this apartment was perfect for us. We were one of the first to try out the new Queen bed and it was very comfortable. Our thanks to the owner! Paola, the housekeeper was very nice. We were warned by Papavero Villa Rentals that while Paola would be in the house waiting for us, her mobile phone would not work because of the thick walls and we were to call the phone number in the apartment. It was my fault for calling her mobile four times and panicking when she didn't answer. So my advice to anyone renting is to read over the information before you get in the taxi heading to the apartment.
The apartment was neat and clean. We were able to store our luggage in the closets so we weren't tripping over it during the week. The kitchen is small, but efficient and we did make two meals while we were there, but with all these great restaurants within walking distance you needn't bother cooking, unless of course you want to experience the markets and do some grocery shopping. We felt that was a Roman experience we are glad we had. We had a great time.

We had the most enjoyable stay at Flavia. Convenient location near the Trevi fountain and great restaurants on the same street. The apartment was cozy. The owner gave much thought to decorating it as it was not cluttered but didn't feel sterile. We felt this was a good value for Rome and will come back on our next trip to Rome. Thank you for all your help with getting us back and forth to the airport. Your driver was waiting for us as we exited the baggage claim area and showed up to the apartment promptly the morning we were leaving. We loved our tour guide for the Sistine Chapel, Paulina was terrific!

Even cuter than pictured on the web. Loved having the extra room and ability to prepare food if needed. Centrally located to walk everywhere. We had serveral meals acrss the street, they were warm and friendly and the food was simple but delicious. We rate the apartment 4 stars, our only complaint was that the one bedroom was a little noisy.
I was very impressed with how well things went. The driver was waiting for us at the airport and came promptly to get us at the end of the week. The apartment was just as described. I had several questions while preparing for this trip and they werew all answered in a timely manner. One of the best travel experiences I have had in a long time.
